Jerry Pournelle finishes hard X-Ray treatment

Author Jerry Pournelle writes: “I had my last hard X-Ray zap Friday. Now we stand down for a couple of weeks to a month to allow the system to clear out the dead wreckage that’s deep inside my head. Doing scans right now would be useless. Think of a mass of dead tissues and bruises in your shoulder, and how long that might take to clear up.
“We still do not know what it was, but with luck it’s on its last legs. They’ll be doing scans of the rest of me to see that it hasn’t planted itself somewhere on the way out; so far as we can tell, it did not metastasize from anywhere else, and it was a solitary visitor, in there near Broca’s area in my brain. Charlie Sheffield and Bob Foreword both got brain tumors and were alas gone in six months. It was about six months ago that we discovered mine, and I’m still here and still writing.
“I have a kaleidoscope of symptoms that come and go like dreams. It makes for interesting times.
“I am keeping a log of all this at www.jerrypournelle.com if anyone is interested.”
