The winners if the 28th annual Golden Raspberry Awards, populary known as the Razzies, were announced Saturday 23 February at Magicopolis in Santa Monica, California. The Razzies are “a logical antidote to Tinsel Town’s annual glut of self-congratulations [created] by John Wilson, author of Everything I Know I Learned at the Movies.”
I Know Who Killed Me, which may or may not be a genre picture, was the big “winner,” taking home 8 awards, which is a new Razzy record. It collected the awards for: Worst Screen Couple (Lindsay Lohan and Lindsay Lohan, “as The Yang to Her Own Yin”); Horror Movie; Screenplay; Director; Remake or Rip-Off; Actress (twice—Lindsay Lohan tied with herself, playing both Aubrey and Dakota); and Picture.
It was, however, the only genre film to sink low enough to actually garner an award at the ceremony. We’ve listed all the other genre nominees in this article. The full list of “winners” is available on this page.
SFScope also apologizes for the timing of this article. The award nominees and winners are announced at carefully chosen times: one day before the announcements for the Academy Awards. We regret not being able to bring you this news in as timely a fashion.
