Jeff VanderMeer’s limited edition Shriek: An Afterword discounted

Wyrm will be publishing Shriek: An Afterword by Jeff VanderMeer as a 500-copy limited, signed, numbered edition this Spring at $40, but right now, they’re offering a pre-order 25% discount, bringing the price to $30 (good only until 9 February).
Shriek: An Afterword is the “triumphant return to the author’s imaginary city of Ambergris—the setting of his critically acclaimed, best-selling City of Saints & Madmen. The book relates the scandalous, heartbreaking, and horrifying secret history of two squabbling siblings and their confidantes, protectors, and enemies. Narrated with flamboyant intensity and under increasingly urgent conditions by ex-society figure Janice Shriek, this afterword presents a vivid gallery of characters and events, emphasizing the adventures of Janice’s brother Duncan, a historian obsessed with a doomed love affair and a secret that may kill or transform him; a war between rival publishing houses that will change Ambergris forever; and the gray caps, a marginalized people armed with advanced fungal technologies who have been waiting underground for their chance to mold the future of the city.”
Cover art (pictured here) is by Ben Templesmith. VanderMeer says “Cover design and interior design (which is stunning) are by John Coulthart. A copy of the Shriek movie with exclusive video reading and tell-all interview, an accompanying chapbook of the first three chapters of the next Ambergris novel, Finch are also included in the purchase price. The only thing not set yet is whether or not it will include a soundtrack of The Church’s music for Shriek.”
Pre-orders are available from this page.
