On Spec: the Canadian Magazine of the Fantastic, is published quarterly. The 112-page, perfect bound, digest-sized issue contains fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. Single copies are $6.95. The Fall 2007 issue (volume 19, number 3; whole number 70) has fiction by: Leah Bobet, Marie Brennan, Wesley Herbert, Rose Hunter, Scott Mackay, Trevor Morrison, Chandra Rooney, and Greg Wilson. Poetry is by A.M. Arruin, David Clink, and Gary Pierluigi. Nonfiction includes managing editor Diane Walton’s editorial “Building Community”, Leah Bobet’s own “feature artist extended biography,” a photo essay from Pure Speculation 3, and the “about our contributors” page.
