Variety reports the top 25 movies for the week of 5-11 October in terms of box office take. The top genre flick, Resident Evil: Extinction, dropped from #3 to #4, bringing in $6.2 million for a three-week total of $45.4 million. New release The Seeker: The Dark is Rising, opened at #6, taking in just under $5 million.
Transformers is back to moving down, this week from #15 to #18, grossing $1.3 million to bring its 14-week total to $316.8 million. Halloween dropped from #17 to #25, grossing just under $800 thousand for a six-week take of $57.3 million.
In its fourth week, Dragon Wars dropped out of the top 25 from #18. Stardust, at #24 last week, dropped out of the top 25 in its ninth week. And Underdog, which was #25 last week, is gone from the list in its tenth week in release.
