Garth Nix sells three for large advances worldwide

Garth Nix sold three YA books in several ideals recently. North American rights went to Ruth Katcher at HarperCollins Children’s for seven figures via agent Jill Grinberg. HarperCollins UK bought UK rights for a substantial six-figure sum via agent Antony Harwood. and Allen & Uniwn took Australian and New Zealand rights, against for a six-figure advance, via agent Fiona Inglis of Curtis Brown Australia.
The three books will include a prequel and a sequel to Nix’s Abhorsen fantasy trilogy, as well as a third, stand-alone science fiction novel titled A Confusion of Princes. The stand-alone will be published in late 2009, with the others following in 2010 and 2011.
