Golden Gryphon Press has just published Bruce McAllister’s first short fiction collection, The Girl Who Loved Animals and Other Stories. This collection includes McAllister’s first professional sale—which appeared in Worlds of If magazine when he was only sixteen—as well as his Hugo Award-nominated stories “Dream Baby” and “Kin.” McAllister also wrote more than 10,000 words of notes on the genesis of each story, which include his personal and professional relationships that have influenced his life and work.
The cover of the book is by John Picacio, and there is an introduction by Harry Harrison and an afterword by Barry Malzberg.
Kilian Melloy conducted an interview with McAllister, which is available on EDGE-Boston at this page.
