M.M. Buckner sells fourth novel to Tor Books

M.M. Buckner sold Watermind to David Hartwell at Tor Books. Agent Richard Curtis handled the sale, which included North American hardcover and softcover rights (Danny Baror handled British and translation rights).
In this “high-concept environmental thriller, a vivacious young scientist discovers that the accumulation of electronic devices discarded in the nation’s waters has begun to pulsate in synchronicity and combine with marine flora, and the menace is about to reach critical mass.”
Buckner’s web site is www.mmbuckner.com. She won the 2006 Philip K. Dick Award for her third novel, War Surf. Her other novels are Hyperthought and Neurolink.
