IDW offering six-issue discount for Cory Doctorow series

IDW Comics is publishing a six-issue series of comics based on Cory Doctorow’s short stories. The first, “Anda’s Game,” is available now. The story follows 12-year-old Anda. For Anda, “getting paid real money to kill the characters of players who were cheating in her favorite online computer game was a win-win situation. Until she found out who was paying her, and what those characters meant to the livelihood of children around the world.” The cover is by Sam Kieth.
Later issues in the series will be adaptations of “After the Siege,” “Craphound,” I, Robot,” “When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth,” and “Nimby and the D-Hoppers.” Doctorow says “I had approval on all the scripts, interiors, and covers, and I’m really happy with the caliber of work IDW got for me.”
IDW is offering subscriptions to the entire series for $23.99. Once the series concludes, IDW will publish a trade paperback collection, and Doctorow says “we’ll be doing a Creative Commons release of the whole work to coincide with the trade.” To pre-order the series, see this page.
