Author Denny Martin Flinn Dies

Author, actor, choreographer, and director Denny Martin Flinn died of complications from cancer on 24 August 2007. Born 21 December 1947 in San Francisco, California, he majored in theatre at San Francisco State University. He appeared on television and on stage, choreographed the off-Broadway musical Six, and wrote and directed the musical Groucho.
He co-authored the screenplay of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) for which he received a Saturn Award nomination. He also wrote the Star Trek novel The Fearful Summons, which is set directly after the movie. His non-genre writing includes several non-fiction books on writing and theatre, several mystery novels, and two BBC radio plays.
Flinn is survived by his wife Barbara and two children, Brook and Dylan.
