The 6th Annual New York City Horror Film Festival is currently accepting submissions of both shorts and feature films. The deadline is 1 September, and entrants whose films are chosen to screen will be notified by 1 October. The exact dates of the Festival have not yet been announced, but it will once again be at Tribeca Cinemas (at the corner of Varick and Canal Streets).
The Festival is a competition, and will be presenting juried awards in the following categories: Best Feature Film; Best Short Film; Best Cinematography; Best Special Effects; Best Actor/Actress; Best Screenplay; and Audience Choice.
