Cory Doctorow to Speak at UC Irvine

Cory Doctorow will be speaking at the University of California Irvine on Wednesday 6 June at 3PM. He says he’ll be “giving a variant on my copyright and trade-policy talk, called ‘Happy Meal Toys versus Copyright: How America Chose Hollywood and Wal-Mart—and why it’s doomed us, and how we might survive anyway.”
The lecture is free and open to the public, but space is limited, so reservations are requested. See this page for reservation and location information.
On 21 May, Doctorow gave a similar talk as part of the Authors@Google series. A recording of that talk (approximately 57 minutes long) is available on YouTube at this link.
