The Clarion West Writers’ Workshop is hosting its fourth annual Write-a-thon fundraiser. For the six weeks the intensive science fiction/fantasy writing workshop runs, former students, instructors, and other writers will pick a writing goal (“something that’s doable but a little stretch, something that motivates”), and then seek sponsors who’ll pledge money if their chosen writer meets the goal.
The workshop actually started two days ago, but there is still time to pledge money. All donations, which are tax-deductible, go to support the workshop.
At press time, there were 36 writers participating in the write-a-thon, including Eileen Gunn, Paul Park, and Michael Swanwick.
