The Lambda Literary Foundation has announced the finalists for its annual literary awards. The winners will be presented at a reception and ceremony on 31 May 2007 in New York City.
There are 25 categories. All the nominees are listed here. The finalists in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror category are:
* Carnival by Elizabeth Bear (published by Bantam Spectra)
* Mordred, Bastard Son by Douglas Clegg (Alyson)
* A Strong and Sudden Thaw by R.W. Day (Iris Print)
* Izzy and Eve by Neal Drinnan (Green Candy Press)
* Spin Control by Chris Moriarty (Bantam Spectra)
The Lambda Literary Foundation is “the country’s leading organization for LGBT literature. Our mission is to celebrate LGBT literature and provide resources for writers, readers, booksellers, publishers, and librarians—the whole literary community.” Tickets for the awards ceremony are $100 before 1 May, $125 after, and are available at the Foundation’s web site.
