Film and television director Stuart Rosenberg died of a heart attack on 15 March 2007. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on 11 August 1927, he began directing on the television series Decoy in 1957, and directed Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke.
His genre work includes directing The Amityville Horror (1979) and three episodes of the original Twilight Zone.
