Voice Actor Walter Edmiston Dies

Voice actor Walter Edmiston died of cancer on 15 February 2007. Born in St. Louis on 6 February 1926, he may be best known as the voice of Ernie, the Keebler elf, in the television commercials. He hosted The Walker Edmiston Show, featuring his own puppets, on local Los Angeles television in the 1950s and early 1960s.
His genre appearances included voice work on Spider-Man (the 1990s tv series), Transformers, Jem, Pandemonium, Spider-Man (the 1980s tv series), Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, Pufnstuf, H.R. Pufnstuf, the original Star Trek, Willy the Wolf, and Thunderbolt the Wondercolt.
He also appeared in the live action tv series Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Scared to Death, Fantasy Island, Shazam!, The Lost Saucer, and Land of the Lost. His movie work includes the voice of God in 1981’s Wholly Moses!, and roles in Live Again, Die Again and The Beach Girls and the Monster.
