Robin Wayne Bailey, president of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) announced that Brook and Julia West will be honored with the 2007 SFWA Service Award. Brook has, for many years, been the editor of the Nebula Awards Report (tracking the recommendations and voting for SFWA’s Nebula Awards).
The award presentation will take place during the Nebula Awards banquet on 12 May in New York City.
The award was previously known as the “Service to SFWA Award.” Previous recipients include Chuq Von Rospach, Sheila Finch, Robin Wayne Bailey (before he was elected president), George Zebrowski & Pamela Sargent (a joint award), Michael Capobianco & Ann Crispin (a joint award), and Kevin O’Donnell, Jr.
