Actor Ian Richardson died 9 February 2007. Born Ian William Richardson in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 7 April 1934, he may be best known for the series of Grey Poupon mustard commercials. His genre appearances include the roles of Death and the narrator in Terry Pratchett’s Hogfather, six appearances in the tv series Strange, and roles in Brazil, Gormenghast, A Knight in Camelot, and Dark City. In 1989, he was named a Commander of the British Empire.
