Sorry for the Silence

Hi SFScope Friends!

I’m sorry for the long silence on the site. Several of you have asked if I’m okay, which I very much appreciate. I’m fine, thanks for asking.

As for the site, there’s been some activity going on behind the scenes, which is ongoing, but obviously the public side, which you see, has been inactive, and it will continue to be quiet for a little while longer (but hopefully, only a little while).

During the public silence, I’ve been spending a lot of time on Fantastic Books and Gray Rabbit Publications, which continues to grow and require ever more of my time. In the last few months, we’ve launched sf novel The Memory Singer by T. Jackson King, fantasy anthology Trafficking in Magic, Magicking in Traffic edited by David Sklar and Sarah Avery, sf collection Lovers & Fighters, Starships & Dragons by Tom Purdom, sf collection The Clock Struck None by Lou Antonelli, and mystery novel The Assassins’ Ball by Patrick Thomas and John L. French. Two weeks ago, I was in Boston for the American Mensa Annual Gathering, at which I presented a panel on speculative fiction with authors Allen Steele, Shariann Lewitt, and Walter Hunt. Last weekend I was at Readercon, on three panels, in the dealers’ room, very busy and not sleeping much. And tomorrow, I hit the road again for Detroit and Detcon 1, this year’s North American Science Fiction Convention, where again I’ll be on several panels and in the dealers’ room. In other words, it’s been a very busy month.

Thanks for your continuing support, and your understanding in this time of transition.
