65th Annual Emmy Award Nominees—the sf/f/h nominees

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 65th annual Emmy Awards (for excellence in television) early this morning (the eligibility years is 1 June 2012 to 31 May 2013). The Primetime Emmy Awards will be handed out Sunday 22 September, in a ceremony in the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

American Horror Story‘s 17 nominations this year are the most of the year (and the same number as it earned last year). Game of Thrones‘ second-most 16 nominations this year bring it to 40 total in three years. with drama series Mad Men). The Big Bang Theory’s eight nominations bring it to 26 total in six years.
