Mike Resnick is wrapping up his military sf series Starship… (published by Pyr SF) with December's release of Starship: Flagship. But, never one to sit still, he's signed with Lou Anders at Pyr to enter a new subgenre: steampunk. Anders writes: "We've just signed with him for The Buntline Special: A Weird West Tale. Picture a fractured America, steampunk technology, cowboys, rayguns, Native American shamans, and, drum roll please, zombies! I feel very safe guaranteeing that the West will never be the same."
