True Blood season three, “Sookie” books 11-13, and more Charlaine Harris news
Agent Joshua Bilmes of the JABberwocky Literary Agency has a bunch of “Sookie Stackhouse” or “Southern Vampire” news for and from author Charlaine Harris.
First and foremost, HBO has renewed True Blood, the television series based on the novels, for a third season.
Second, editor Ginjer Buchanan at Ace Books has bought rights to publish the 11th, 12th, and 13th Sookie Stackhouse novels.
Third, “a record nine Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris were on the printed New York Times bestseller list for Sunday 9 August 2009. Dead and Gone appeared on the hardcover fiction list, and eight books appeared in the top 20 mass market spots.”

I have read from the Authors website that the she has the series planned out and those plans do not include Sookie becoming a Vampire…

Sookie is a supe already, why would you ever want her to become UNDEAD? As for Bill… he had his chance, and he blew it. Forward, never backwards I say… As for her love interests, I think Eric is temporary, but she won’t end up with a Vampire. Too bad Quinn wasn’t in the picture long, yummy were-tiger.
OK first of all the tiger SUCKS and I’m glad he’s out of the picture!! 2nd, I agree with Rachel b/c Bill did have his chance and he’s yesterdays news (LOL)!! 3rd, I do believe she will end of with Eric but it won’t be an easy road for them. True Blood rules (the book series….not the show!!)

I love true blood! I really wanted eric and sookie to end up together, and when they did i was glad, but its kind of getting boring now. i liked eric when he was all bad and cool, but ever since he went with sookie, hes become mushy and lovey dovey. i hope bill and sookie get back together. i bet thats whats going to happen- theres been too many books since they were a couple, so they’re building back up to it, i bet (:

Hello Mona! Sookie is meant to be with Bill and she will end up with him. Eric is always around when bad news is given to Sookie and he is the one that brings it on!! Yes he may have feelings for her now but they will not last!!

WoW Laura!! So now it’s OK to be cheated on and raped??!! Eric has been faithful to Sookie the entire time unlike Bill the womanizer!! We will see what happens but Bill is a snoozefest and Eric is in charge!! I doubt Charlaine Harris will get them back together b/c she knows if she does the franchise will fail…so there!!!! On another note…can someone else tell me if they like the show? Because it is sucky at times…..

I agree that book 10 was very blah!! I was so dissapointed. I think the tv series isn’t to bad as long as you remember it’s only based on the books.
Based on the books? Not much. Alan Ball and his writers are playing very fast and loose with Charlaine Harris’ characters and plots. Which is fine with me, because I don’t think she’s as good a writer as the True Blood writers.
And in my world, Sookie ends up with Sam, the one man who has been faithfully devoted to her (doglike?) forever. She deserves better than Bill or Eric.

I can’t wait for the next installments of novels!! i love erics character but i don’t think sookies going to stay with him for long at all, although i don’t want it to happen i have a sneaking suspicion that Sookie will end up with Sam – totally obvious!! oh and by the way… it sucks that Quinn got thrown out of the picture i loved his character!! and before that it was Alcide that got chucked out the picture!!! whats happening??!!! all the hotties are being chucked for horrible bill and crappy boyfriends!!! Its hard to tell who sookie will end up with. both bill and eric love her but she is married to eric now even if it was against her will. So if she gets with someone else there will be consiqenses.
I love the attraction between Sookie and Eric, but the yummy, tasty tiger would be a better match. mmmmm Love how he calls here babe, however Sam is her true mate! mmm Sam
lets look at it all. What about the fairies? What about the cousin who can read minds? I hope Eric and sookie stay together but he has to work for it. He has to go away now sorting out his makers buisness now he is dead. Maybe someone can come in the side door and woo sookie while eric is gone. But they Eric and sookie belong together.
I love that Eric & Sook-eh are together! I hate Bill, although he scored a point on my book for saving her (in part) from Lochlan & Neave. I wish her Niall would come back though, he seemed so sweet. And I’m still bummed they killed Claudine. A Skarsgaard is SOOO fine and is the best choice to play Eric.
I like that Sookie is with Eric. I guess I am just a romantic. I am 55 and my generation likes to see the changes that are taking place in Eric. I do not want her to be with Bill. He lied and I would never trust him again. I think something will happen to Remy and Sookie will adopt Hunter. I also think that since Sookie has fairy blood, and so much of Eric’s that she will have a very long life as a human. I like the character of Pam and would like to see her find someone. I would be very upset if she ever betrayed Eric or Sookie. Even though I like him, I just can’t see Sookie with Sam, I never liked Quinn and Alcide is sometimes really stupid. I would be very disappointed if at the end of all the books, Sookie wasn’t with Eric.
Sookie and Eric all the way, its what the books have been leading to, her and him, he is the only vampire she has silently heard twice and if she doesn’t end up with him in a happy ending after all the intrusions, the whole series wont really make any sense, Charlaine cant write these books forever and if Sookie falls for someone new, she is starting all over again, what a waste of 10 books and £70. Eric loves her and she loves him and they have only really just started dating properly, give it time, im sure Charlaine will come up with obsticles for them but ever lasting love will have made all the troubles worth it.
ps. Bill and Sookie dont belong together, your one true love does not start with deciet, lies or rape no matter how many times he proves his worth, too little too late.
I agree.. i hope Sookie and Eric stay together, its not gonna be an easy ride, or the books would be boring. I dont want Sookie and Sam to get together, ive never really liked Sam, and i cant see them together at all. Ive read that Charlaine will NEVER make Sookie a vampire, so maybe when she dies, Eric will meet the sun too??
I think your right the books have been leading to Eric and Sookie being together and i would be so disappointed if she met someone elce. Eric is perfect for her. the story would be pointless if it went in a different direction now. Eric and Sookie all the way.
i personally think that eric was better off with out sookie and the same fro sookie. i think they do love each ther but its the bond keepin them together. i have always hoped that bill and sookie got together again and she would be with him foreveer but now i think it would be really good for sam and sookie. i agree that she will adopt hunter. but eric and sookie will not end up staying together. especially with hunter. an as fro claude she should of died instead of claudine but he is becoming nicer. and respects that she is family

I agree with Sarah – I hope the ending of the books would end up similar like this:
Eric and Sookie stay together, she has a long human/fairy life because her fairy blood seems stronger and stronger with Eric’s vamipire blood. Her and Eric will adopt Hunter. Eric has Pam in charge of Fangtasia so he, Sookie and Hutner can spend more time together. After all she is a supe and Naill will live many more years and Jason is half were (her parents no longer living) seems no reason she needs to live a short human life.
Bill lives happily ever after with the girl Lorena made for Bill many years ago and they can be together now Lorena is dead. Sam will meet a nice shape shifter girl and have full shape shifter children. Quinn has his mum and his sister.

Eric is too violent, too manipulative, and too dead for Sookie, who is a creature of sunlight. She needs someone simple and loyal. You know, like a dog?

I am so glad that the books are not doing what the TV show is doing right now. I fucking hate Bill. Eric is so much better, it shows that Sookie is growing up.
I think the TV show is keeping Bill around because every girl wants their first love to be “the one.” But honestly, in book and show, Bill is BOOORING, and simple. Eric is sexy and complicated and he has more motivation to do things besides “I love Sookie, let me protect her.”
Bill is an unrealistic and “twilight”- like character that needs to be written out. Sookie is better than him and deserves to realize her true potential as an individual.

i hope sookie stays with eric.he’s much more powerful(personality wise) than any of the other characters,he can be strong for her in a way that bill never could.eric will let her be strong in her own way,bill and sam always treated her like a child.eric wants her to be who she is,not what he wants her to be(other than his wife),he will allow her to grow in her own way.
I am almost done with book 10 and can’t wait for book 11 to come out. I have been reading some of the comments in here about Sookie and Bill Vs Sookie and Eric. I would like to see her hook up with Sam, they have been really good friends and he’s a warm blooded Sup. Bill is a jerk for what he did to her and that’s just not forgivable. Eric is getting too soft and mushy and needs to be a bad ass again.
I really like True Blood can’t wait for season 3 to come out to find out whats sookie is going to do next or where she is going. I think she is cute with both Bill and Eric. Hey 3some.LOL
