Stephen Goldin's Mindsaga back in print

By Ian Randal Strock

Stephen Goldin writes to tell us that his Mindsaga books (MindFlight and MindSearch) have just be re-released by Midnight Showcase Fiction, as pdf, html, or print (through Lulu.com) books.

MindFlight, Goldin says, "tells the story of Alain Cheney, top telepathic spy for the Terran Intelligence Agency who, through no fault of his own, finds himself marked for death by his own organization. MindSearch, set eighteen years later, tells of second-generation telepaths Richard and Mara Cheney who, while searching for other telepaths like themselves, stumble on a menace far greater than anything they could have imagined.

"MindFlight was originally published in paperback in 1978 by Fawcett Books, who also optioned two more titles in the series. By the time the second book was completed, however, Fawcett had been acquired by another publisher with a full list, and the option was dropped. No other publisher was interested in a series started by someone else, so the books languished.

"Both books were briefly published electronically by Embiid Books in the mid-2000s. The current releases, in both paperback and electronic formats, mark the first time MindSearch has ever appeared in a print edition.

"The concluding volume, Mindwar, has been outlined but not yet begun."
