A. Lee Martinez sells "complex Chinese" rights to four novels

By Ian Randal Strock

A. Lee Martinez sold Complex Chinese rights to four books to Gaea, in a deal handled by Suzanne Brandreth and Sally Harding of The Cooke Agency. The books covered by the deal are The Automatic Detective, Too Many Curses, Monster, and Divine Misfortune.

For those of us who didn't know, Harding says that "Complex Chinese" means Chinese-language rights in Taiwan. Mainland China, since the 1950s and '60s, has officially adopted a more simplified form of the written language.
