Steven H Silver and The Official Philip José Farmer Home Page are reporting the death of Bette Farmer on 10 June 2009. Born Elizabeth Virginia Andre 5 April 1923, she met Phil in 1940. The two were secretly married on 10 May 1941.
Starting in 2005, Bette wrote several articles about her husband and her life with him, which appeared in the fanzine Farmerphile. She also made many convention appearances with her husband.
