British actress Lucy Gordon was found dead 20 May 2009 in her Paris apartment, in what appears to be a suicide. Police reports say she hanged herself while her boyfriend was asleep. "There were no suspicious circumstances," according to a detective. "It appears that the young woman took her own life."
Born 22 May 1980 in England, Gordon appeared in nine films, with two more currently in production. She is perhaps best known for playing reporter Jennifer Dugan in Spider-Man 3. At her death, she was at work on a biographical film about influential French musician Serge Gainsbourg entitled Serge Gainsbourg (Vie Héroïque); she was playing the title character's wife, the British-born actress/singer/filmmaker Jane Birkin.
Gordon's other genre film role was in 2001's Serendipity.
