Stone Arch's "Find a Hero!" contest heralds launch of DC Chapter Books

By Ian Randal Strock

Following up this story about the agreement between Stone Arch and DC Comics to publish chapter books based on the superhero comics, Stone Arch is now running a "Find a Hero!" contest. Open to students in grades 3 through 6, the contest calls for entrants to tell Stone Arch about "someone you believe is a hero at your school. Your entry should describe your hero and offer examples of how that person is a hero in your eyes. Get creative by describing your hero's 'superpowers'."

First prize will feature the chosen hero, school, and city in one of the upcoming Stone Arch DC Chapter Books. The top 50 entries will win two books (one for the student, one for the student's school library).

Entry deadline is 28 February 2009. For more details, and an entry form, see this page.

The first twelve books in the series, based on Batman and Superman, are available now. The books based on Wonder Woman will launch in August.
