DC Pierson sells first novel, about two comics/sci-fi fans

By Ian Randal Strock

Comedian/actor DC Pierson sold his first novel, The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had To, to Gerry Howard at Broadway Books, via agent Daniel Greenberg of the Levine Greenberg Literary Agency. The book, pitched as Superbad meets ET, is "about two high school loners who strike up a friendship based on a shared obsession with comics and sci-fi, one of whom never sleeps and instead recharges his brain with protracted spasms which may or may not co-mingle with the universe to bring both their sci-fi fantasies to life."
