Wanted scribe writes small-press horror comic book

By Ian Randal Strock

Chris Morgan—who wrote the screenplay for the current $100 million-plus grossing Wanted—recently wrote an issue of Boom! Studios' anthology comic book series Zombie Tales. The self-contained issue #4 will feature three different artists, chronicling the "birth, life, and death of a young Japanese soldier who seeks only to defend his village and his family from the zombie hordes who surround his island." The artists involved in the project are Gabriel Hardman, Minck Oosterveer, and Jason Ho.

Boom! Studios Editor in Chief Mark Waid said of the new project, "After reading Chris' Zombie Tales and Salem, you know this guy has tapped into the essence of the horror and fantasy genres. But what separates Chris from other people with that ability is that he's a great professional writer, who brings high quality stories to whatever medium or genre he happens to be writing for."
