Author/fan George W. Proctor dies

SF Site reports that fan and author George W. Proctor died 10 August. Born in 1946, Proctor wrote more than 90 novels between the 1970s and the 1990s, including the six-book Swords of Raemllyn series with Robert E. Vardeman (1985-87), The Esper Transfer (1978), Starwings (1984), and Blood of My Blood (1996). He also co-edited Lone Star Universe (1976) with Steven Utley, and The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Volume 4 (1981) with Arthur C. Clarke. Fantastic Fiction has his sf bibliography, including two novels based on the tv series V. He was active in fandom in the 1970s.
