Afterburn SF continues to publish a new story every other week. Editor Karen L. Newman writes that "the July issue consists of the stories "Hunted" by A.M. Pearce (horror) and "Hideout" by Lisa von Biela (science fiction). The June issue contains stories by Tim McDaniel ("Zero Hour"—science fiction) and Ryan McFadden ("Five Crates of Dragonroot"—fantasy)."
The zine is free to read (though they do request donations); authors are paid $30 per story. They publish action-oriented science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
