In the few days since we announced Terry Pratchett's large donation for research into cures for Alzheimer's disease, the sf fan and pro community has taken up the cause, and created Match It For Pratchett, to raise more money to help the cause. In those few short days, the amount raised through donations and purchases (not to mention auctions which are still in progress) has already reached £30,000. Author web sites and blogs have been echoing the news and spreading the word, as are we.
