Susan Chandler Dies

Agent Joshua Bilmes reports that "Susan Chandler, the widow of A. Bertram Chandler, passed away in October in Australia. No further information is known."

A. Bertram Chandler (1912-1984) was a British-born Australian author who may be best known for his "John Grimes" stories. Grimes, the character, led a space-based analog of Chandler's own life as a seaman and captain, commanding tramp steamers, troop transports, and merchant vessels.
