Del Rey sells foreign rights for a bunch of books

Betsy Mitchell, the editor in chief at Del Rey, reports a flock of foreign rights sales for their authors.

The Adventures of Indiana Jones (which includes novelizations of the first three movies) by Campbell Black, James Kahn, and Rob MacGregor: German rights to Verlagsgruppe Random House; Hungarian rights to Lazi; Italian rights to Sperling; and Japanese rights to Hayakawa.

Empire of Ivory by Naomi Novik: French rights to Univers Poche and Polish rights to Rebis Spolka.

A Distant Magic by Mary Jo Putney: Spanish rights to Ediciones Urano S.A.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (the movie novelization the will be released in May 2008) by James Rollins: German rights to Verlagsgruppe Random House; and Japanese rights to Hayakawa.
