Murky Depths is new magazine of “graphically dark speculative fiction”

Murky Depths is a new British quartely magazine subtitled “The Quarterly Anthology of Graphically Dark Speculative Fiction.” They’ll be publishing more than just text fiction: “Alongside the straight prose stories are cutting edge graphic strips. Articles across the genres and mixed disciplines add authority, humour and maybe a little controversy.”
Issue #1 is now available. Contributors to this issue include Richard Calder, Eugie Foster, Jon Courtenay Grimwood, and many others (a pdf of the table of contents is available on the web site, www.murkydepths.com. The cover price is £6.99, and they’re offering four-issue subscriptions for £24.00.
They’re also looking for writers: short stories of dark, speculative fiction (500-5000 words, for which they’re paying £1 per 500 words) and poetry. Full guidelines (including address for submissions) are on this page.
